Travel Directions:
From Calgary, follow Hwy 2 south to Aldersyde, turn left at the PetroCanada station onto Hwy 547 toward Mossleigh. Dinton is unmarked, about 5.0 km beyond the Blackie turnoff at the corner of Hwy 547 (also known as 370 Ave., SE) and 304th Street. The Wedding Chapel (St. Thomas’ Anglican Church) is on the right.

From Carseland, go south on Highway 24, turn west on Hwy 547, and drive 10.4 km. The Wedding Chapel is to the left (south).

Remarks:
Microscopic Dinton won’t be on your roadmap, but it is easy to find. This tiny, simple wood church meets the story’s requirements with an authenticity that Hollywood set carpenters could not match.

Larry Reese, a theatre instructor at Red Deer College (north of Calgary), fills the role of the jolly minister. The real minister at St. Thomas’ Anglican Church is Rev. DiVenczo, who holds services here at 9 AM on the first and third Sundays of each month and can be contacted at (403) 652-2271.
