Remarks:
A decade after the horrific hate crime that took the life
of Matthew Shepard, the University of Wyoming, where he
was a student, dedicated a sidewalk bench in his honor.
It bears a small plaque which all but ignores the person
that he was and the reason that he died.

One blogger wrote,
“We’ve got an awful lot of park benches . . .
but could use more good people with tolerant hearts to
sit in them.”
